Pharmacy/Interactions with Cymbalta and Diet Pills

Question
I would like to know if there are any adverse reactions to taking an over the counter diet pill such as Hydroxcut,or what type of diet pill would be safe to take?  I'm currently taking a 30mg dose of Cymbalta. I workout on a regular basis but don't see the same results before I started taking Cymbalta.  I have experienced weight gain instead.

Answer
Hydroxcut should be fine to take with Cymbalta. But I am not sure, there are no documented studies to prove or disprove this.

Cymbalta could be contributing to your weight gain. As most antidepressants that work for people, tend to make you gain a little. Its actually a sign they are working.

So if this weight increase bothers you, you could try changing a low glycemic diet and exercise, or just adapt to your new body. There is no diet pill you should have to take.

It is better to be a few pounds over your ideal, than depressed and thin in my opinion.

Keep in mind these views expressed are just my opinion, please talk to your doctor.

Thanks.
