Question
I am taking 10 mg. of Lisinopril daily for high blood pressure and noticed that many of the normal pain relievers I would have used prior to this script, are listed as having potential interactions.  What pain reliever should I use if taking this medication?  Tylenol??
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Marilyn,
hen taking Lisinopril you should avoid using analgesics that contain non-steroidal anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen and naproxen. These counteract the blood pressure lowering effect of lisinopril. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is safe to use.
Thank you for using Allexperts
