Question I am 47 year old House wife/with ,2 ids one grand child.I have been suffering with neck and tmj pain,eye bridge of nose,(TN)? as well as POS for COPD.and Gallbladder out last year(no help I am worse) I also have Hemangeomia at T8,and a 2.5 cm fluid filled cyst@T2,this is said to be Plural,and then the Pulmonary specialist,I am told this is on my spine! the neurosurgeon at Presbyterian hospital NYC"its in your lung"why are you here!! I have had ganglion blocks, epadurial, laviages of r tmj joint,many splints!! I could go one,acupuncture..I endured hellish modalits.nly to even though I maintain my sobriety, i am on oxycodone,(short lasting) i was told this is safer and not as addictive as others..ie viccoden! HA,7+years later,I am falling apart,I also have a 1.5 cm stone in my kidney and a adenoma on top of that same kidney .on my adrenal gland,also a a typical pituitary gland!
I sit here chest burning,jaw,eye and ear neck are killing me+
My tongue burns,and so dose my throat burn,right down into my lungs! like it is dry down there?? I take

diovan HCT 160-(2.5)1xper day
adderal (30mg) a day
norvasc 10 mg 1x day
adavan (.5mg) 1x at bed an prehaps 1 time a month when over the edge
oxycoton (30mg) cut in half 6 times a day,the doc has known this and still mumbles love when I tell her how other doc rxd to me
femvir if herpes feeling coming and
asthma spray if need..
and freeze dried stinging nettles.
now the doc just rxed me trazadone 50 mg at bed time....
After reading about this,I became scared to tart.In the past I have had seveire eacations,to phergin,and comazine,post surgery and for a statis migrane of 2 weeks.o 4 tims this hell on earth happened and Just readin about possible bad anexiety reactions,I am scared,Now I wantto be compliant,but I know the docs dont want to trat pin med patients,I am told a RED FLAG is thrown up,and they might audit them??
I in all te years on pain odalites,have not ran out, or any other thig that would make any one feel was simply drug seeking,which by fact I am,I am in Pain and take a drug that helps(but i feel i am haing propblems with now,I dont know what to do,or what mechanisum is reason for the early/mid night sweats and withdrwal symptoms???
I hope you can give me some basic senarios on what can happen with long term use of this pain drug.and what i can say to my doc so that she understands me,I have felt prehapps he fental patch miht be a option,long time release,? and I am alsoscared to go up on my dose,but I am having significant more pain! and also my copd?? OHI am scared,and wish I never had surgerys,botox,,smoked,and started pain meds! I am a alcholic,and sober for over 16 yrs,mst say I am not sober because of my meds..I dont agree..I suffer.....and suffer....I will listen to all sides of wht you might have to send me...Thanks,lac

Its Layla, we spoke at length. I am glad that I got a chance to talk with you.
It sounds like your body may have reacted to the famvir deveoping the hemengenomia, as you said, you found studies the scientific literature to support this.
What you need to do now is focous on quality of life, what makes you feel better. It would help to find a good doctor (even thought they are very difficult to find!) to help you. Also know that all these things in your body are connected and you should have hope of getting better!
It helps to generalize and not get too focused on one thing such as with specialists, so seeing a rhemuatologist will help you possibly to investigate and look at the whole picture. You have a lot of power, and sometimes what may help most is simple avoidance, weither it be chemicals, certain drugs, foods, you may also try gluten free, cutting down on diary and sugars! no marshmellow fluff. This can help the immune system. Diet changes can help immensly in reducing pain symptoms.

this is a great chat/thread with people who have chronic pain/tmj, food intolerances/gluten/hormonal imbalances/thyroid etc. you can read the pages and chat with them, its a great place. Some of the people there have extensive knowledge on diet.
And also they are being helped by some great doctors out in southern california. Rachel-24 knows the most about this.
