Question I have some small white capsules that are not in their original prescription bottle. I was told that they are a mild allergy medication. On them is printed a capital M in a box. Underneath it and on the other half of the capsule is the number 8962 and underneath that, 15 mg. All the printing is in red. Can you tell me what the medication is.
Answer Those are NOT allergy medication. Those capsules are most likely dextroamphetamine sulfate 15mg extended release capsules manufactured by Mallinckcrodt. This is a potent amphetamine stimulant. If they were not prescribed for you they can be very, very dangerous when used incorrectly. They are highly addictive and should not be shared with people who do not have prescriptions for them due to the risks of side effects and dangers of addiction. Possession of them without a valid prescription is also illegal. I would recommend you get rid of them as soon as possible.
