Pharmacy/Pliva 563
Expert: Eric Brandt - 12/25/2004
QuestionI forgot where I found it and it took searching for a few hours but the PLIVA is a flexeril.
The white capsule shaped tablet say APO on one side and 101 on the other.
Not APO over 101.
Why would anyone take an antipsychotic medication other than just mistaking it for something else.
Thanks so much for the reply and I hope the description of the APO tablet helps.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...Randy

1.I saw that someone had asked about the pills that have PLIVA on one side and 563 on the other back in January and I was wondering if you had ever found out what they were. I also found some in my son's jacket.
2.I found one that says APO on one side and 101 on the other. It is a capsule shaped tablet white in color.
3.There was a large white tablet with WW 176 on one side the other was blank.
4.There was one that has JANSSEN on one side and R I on the other. The pill is small capsule shaped tablet and the R and the I are on each end of the one side with a large space between them.
5.I found these anda few Ambian and a six Lodine.
I am guessing he got them all in the same place andwant to be armed with correct information when I ask about them.
Thanks so much...Randy
Answer -
Hi Randy,
1. I have no success in obtaing information regarding any Pliva products.
2. Apo is a symbol of Apotex. None of their Canadian products have apo over 101 on them. Please double check the markings and get back to me.
3. ww176 matches a description for Soma. This is a skeletal muscle relaxant
4. Janssen R1 matched the description for Risperdal. This is an antipsychotic medication

AnswerHi Randy,
I am stil not able to identify the Apo pill.
Some antipsychotics such as Risperdal are used for behavior modification. For example we use them in a nursing home situation where we have a person who is calling out or striking out at caregivers for no apparent reason.
