Question I am prescribed 400 mgs of Provigil per day, plus Concerta. My problem is, I tested positive for cocaine on a urine test and this is not the first time. Please tell me if one or the combination of this medications could cause this. Help. I am desperate.
Answer Dear Susan
If the test used is specific for cocaine there should be no false positives. Remember Provigil is an amphetamine type drug and if the test is for stimulants in general it would show up. As you are prescribed Provigil there should be no problem but tell the analysts this and ask for a quantitative and specific test for cocaine. This is the only thing that a court of law would accept in any western country.
