Question
I am taking AmbienCR 12.5 and Doxycycline 100 mgs.. Can I take ibuprofen with these drugs or is it likely I will have some kind of reaction.

Answer
Hi,Debbie,
It should be alright to take these together. Remember to take the doxycycline 1 hr before or 2 hrs after any antacids or vitamin/calcium supplements. The minerals (magnesium, calcium, etc) will bind with the doxycycline so it wont't do its job.  Doxycycline will also make your skin more sensitive to the sun.  Also, take the ibuprofen with food or milk to minimize stomach upset.
Hope this helps, Mary
