Question Hi. I take Seroquel... 50 mg at night. I was just diagnosed with pneumonia and the doctor gave me cough syrup - promethazine with codeine. Will this interact with my seroquel?
Answer Hi Sarah,
The manufacturers of Seroquel have conducted large clinical trials of the drug and studied its activity with many drugs in the post marketing phase. They have not reported any interactions between teh drug and promethazine or codiene. So it is ok to use your medication with seroquel.
