Question This seems silly to me, but I'll ask anyway. I bought a tube of Preparation-H cream yesterday and on the label it says to ask a doctor before using if you're currently taking medication for depression. Well, I take 450 mg. of Wellbutrin XL to treat depression. Do I have anything to worry about? Thanks in advance.
Answer Dear JW
There was some reports about Preparation H causing problems with the older types of antidepressants (and this type was only used when other antidepressants did not work) but Wellbutrin is not related in any way to them. This was due to the yeast content and I can see no reason why you should consult your doctor and you are not being silly just cautious.
