Question
my wife has been on 100mg A dayof zoloft for about 4 years.  In recent months we've both noticed a drop in motivation, severe bouts of depression and radical mood swings as well as a disrupted sleep pattern, (some nights she can't sleep, and others she can't get enough sleep).  I was wondering if you knew of any long term effects from Zoloft?  We are both thinking the drug might be having this effect on her.
Thank you

Answer
Hi Eric,
I have not seen what you describe as being a result of Zoloft. There may be a change in her condition or some other underlying condition such as hormonal changes. Your wife needs to see her doctor for assessment.
Thank you for using Allexperts
