Question
MY DAUGHTER WAS TAKEN OFF PROZAC BECAUSE SHE FAINTED A FEW TIMES - SHE WAS ON IT FOR 2 YEARS.  THEY PUT HER ON GEODON AND INDEROL.  HER ANXIETY IS TERRIBLE.  IS PASSING OUT A SIDE EFFECT OF PROZAC.  THANK YOU

Answer
Hi Terry,

I don't know. On the PI sheet it says that prozac causes Dizziness 10.3% of people on Lilly's controlled trial (1).
You should read the data sheet-side effects.
I can say it has never made me pass out, but that is just my experience.

It could be so many things...If there is some underlying problem going on that would cause her to feel faint, and pass out such as blood sugar imbalance, or diabetes etc etc, you should talk to your doctor.

Keep in mind that medications are all strong chemicals,we put into are bodies, that can effect every body system. And that what drugs are. Chemicals.

If the side effects out weigh the benefits, she may want to ask herself, if she wants to keep taking the drugs, she is currently on, such as "terrible anxiety" and discuss this with her doctor, to see if there are better options.
