Question I was just wondering, I'm on yasmin birth control, and I'm also taking Bactrim, I was just wondering if the bactrim (antibiotic) will cancel out the birth control?
Answer Hi Kacey,
Pregnancy while taking combined hormonal contraceptives has been reported when the combined hormonal contraceptives were administered with antimicrobials such as ampicillin, tetracycline, rifampicin and griseofulvin. Such an interaction is not reported with bactrim, so you need not worry.
