Question
Is it okay to take Keflex 500mg and Bactrim DS at the same time or would there be an interaction?

Answer
Both Keflex and Bactrim can be taken at the same time if absolutely necessary.  There is no specific drug interaction.  It would be important that only one doctor prescribed both drugs or that the doctors who prescribed both antibiotics are aware that you are taking both drugs to make sure it is necessary that you are on both drugs at the same time.  There are only a limited number of conditions which would make it necessary for someone to be on both antibiotics at the same time.

Thanks

Barb Judge
