Question
I am currently taking Cymbalta 60mg, Cozaar 25mg, metformin 500mg bid.  I would like to know what OTC sinus medication I can safely take with these meds?

Answer
Hi,Sue!
You are on Cozaar; if you are taking this for high blood pressure, you want to stay away from extended-release sinus meds such as Sudafed 12 hr. Regular Sudafed(pseudoephedrine) should be alright to use (30-60mg daily)It may increase your blood pressure so I wouldn't take it more than once a day. And it may be a good idea for you to check your blood pressure a few hrs after taking it. If you have sinus problems infrequently, it is pretty safe to use for 2-3 days at a time. Hope this helps, Mary
