I don't understand why most cold medicines have detromethothorpan which is very unsafe while taking paxil.  It can cause serotonin syndrome.  Here is a list of some of the medicines that are not safe to take and that are labeled with that warning rorobitussin dm, alka seller cold day and night time relief.  The label determines that taking certain psychiatric drugs, antidepressants,  SSRI and maoi inhibitors should not be taken with this medication without stopping the other medication for up to two weeks prior or without consulting with a doctor.
