Question if you are taking a perscribed drug for help in weight reduction and you are applying for a job and you have to have a drug test how long does the drug fastin show up in a drug test?
Answer There are varying answers, depending on where you look. there are varying answers depending on a lot of other factors, such as how much are you taking, etc. Most reliable sources call it at 5-7 days. To be 100% certain, I would even advise 14 days. If you are under a physicians care, a note from your doctor should excuse you from testing positive. This may not be the case, depending on the position sought. for example, if you are applying for a pilot's job, you have to be working without any alteration in judgement, so any amphetamine use is simply out of the question. If possible, find out what the policy is regarding your situation. This could be difficult because of the personal information that would have to be revealed. Also realize that the fact that you are on mind altering drugs, might not make you a good candidate for the position. Would you want the person flying the plane you are on to be under the influence? Your conscience has to lead you here. Lastly, please do not try and fool the test with products available. chances are that you will not fool the test, as they can tell when you have used these products. If caught, your reputation is not ruined, and it is in writing. Sometimes drinking a lot of water works, but a dilute urine is another tell tale sign. If I sound like I am on a podium, it is because I am. I am very much opposed to drug testing except in a few rare circumstances. It causes more trouble than it solves, and I feel it is a huge infringement on ones right to privacy. Anyway, I hope that I have been of help, and feel free to write back if you need any further information.
