Question My dad is on this med. and experiencing alot of side effects.. He has a respiratory infection, is there another drug that works as well? without the side-effects
Answer Hi Tammy,
There are numerous antibiotics which are useful in treating respiratory tract infections. The choice of antibiotic depends on the severity of the infection, known bacteria which causes the infection or suspected bacteria, and sensitivity reports as to which antibiotic is best to use against the known or suspected bacteria. You need to get back to your doctor to discuss the side effects and have the doctor decide which antibiotic is the best alternative. Not having culture results I am not able to make that kind of recommendation.
