Question I have many back problems involving a lot of pain and numbness. I have been on Tramadol 50mg and Ibuprofen 800mg and topamax 75mg. for aboout 3 months. I received three epidural blocks, the last was 3 weeks ago. The topamax was giving me blured vision and major memory loss, so Now I am on 60 mg of Cymbalta and 50mg of tramadol. I have not felt right in a while are these combinations safe? OH yeah and my blood presure has shot up to 169 over 110 since my second blocker. Right now my doctor has me calling in my BP every week.average is 160 over 98.

I can understand the role of ibuprofen and tramadol and epidural blocks, but I am not clear why topamax has been added to your regime. Is this an off label use or do you have migraines? Anyway there is nothing to suggest that your BP has shot up due to the drugs. Plus you do seem to have elevated BP even now. I would suggest a cpmplete work up, since I am not convinced that the reason for your B shooting up has been found or treated.
