Question ok! i'm about 9 months pregnant, i have a rod in both legs (from my knees to my hips) i'm in pain all the time but today it's BAD! i want to know if i go to the E.R. can they give me morphine? if not what? i take percocets so i know they are safe!
Answer You should talk to your own obstetrician. He/she will know what is best for you and your baby at this point in your pregnancy. Without knowing your complete medical history it would be impossible to say what the doctor in an emergency room would feel comfortable prescribing for you. The emergency room doctor would most likely make every effort to contact you obstetrician before administering any medications beyond what you already have.
