Question my husband has back pain and has been given two different pills. darvocet-n 100 andlortab 7.5 which is the better pill? Is one stroger than the other? He only takes them a couple of times a week when the pain is pretty bad. thanks jackie
Answer Hi Jackie,
In my opinion Lortab is bay far a superior pain killer than Darvocet. Darvocet's effctiveness according to some studies is not much potent than placebo as far as pain killing properties and causes more side effects than it is worth. Lortab is not free of side effects but they are more predictable and preventable. Constipation is common and I recommend increaseing fibre or mild laxative when it is used. It can cause drowsiness and one should not drive, consume alcohol or operate dangerous machinery when taking Lortab.
