Question i was taking 20 mg of paxil and then just stoped taking it now i have severe headaches neasea and im very drowzy. how long will these symptoms last?
Answer Hi,Sabrina,
Paxil should be gradually decreased and not abruptly stopped. It is best to decrease by 10mg per week, until you are down to 10mg daily, then take 10mg daily for 1 week before stopping. It depends on the person as to how long the withdrawal symptoms last, but if they are severe, I would go back to a 10mg dose for a few weeks, then discontinue. Please let your doctor know about the symptoms you are experiencing. Hope this helps, Mary
