AboutDr. Tara Kompare, Pharm.D. Expertise I can answer a broad range of questions related to community pharmacy practice. My particular
interests include childrens` health and safe medication use for seniors. As the mother of two small children, I am quite knowledgable on many parenting issues from how to handle

in that population, and disease management issues.
Experience I entered the world of pharmacy as a technician for approximately six years. I then went on to receive my Doctor of Pharmacy degree and now work for the Federal Government as an outpatient pharmacist.

Question I ordered phentermine online and what I got no one has yet to identify. The package was postmarked from India and the pills are white round tablets with blue specks on them. They have no imprint codes on them but on one side has the line down the middle. I don't want to start taking them until someone tells me that they are indeed phentermine. Can you help?
Thanks
Sarah
Answer Dear Sarah,
There is no way to correctly and accurately identify a drug with no imprint code on it. All prescription drugs in the U.S. require imprint codes for the purpose of identification.
So, my recommendation is to not take them! If you are trying to find a good way to lose some weight, I highly suggest you consult your Dr. There is also talk of some weight loss drugs becoming available over the counter soon that are a lot safer than phentermine.
