Question Hello Can you please tell me what causes the diamox side tingling on extremeties and lips side effects. Is this to with less blood flow? or by what mechanism in the body does this happen.
Also, would you know what causes the tingling/numbness sensations when you get the strap tied tightly around your arm during blood collection?
Thankyou very much
Mary
Answer Hi Mary,
I have not heard of tingling in extremities/lips as a side effect of Diamox. I have heard of tingling of the lips as a symptom of a drug allergy however.
As far as the tingling during blood collection, it is due to lack of circulation to the affected area.
