Question
I am withdrawing from tramadol.  It has been 12 days since I have taken any and I am still experiencing wrestless legs at night. It has made me unable to sleep, which has made withdrawal a lot harder. I don't know how long it will last and if it does, is there anything I can do to relieve it.

Answer
Hi Paula,
It depends how long you have been on the medication. If you have been on the medication for an extended perid of time then you should withdraw slowly in order to avoid withdrawal symptoms. If you have on on the medication only for a few days,  the withdrawal symptoms are milder and of shorter duration. You may need physician intervention to deal with the withdrawal symptoms you are experiancing.
Thank you for using Allexperts
