About Bill and Lorna Collings
Expertise
Feel FREE to ask us about traveling, living, relocating, retiring and investing in the Philippines. Guests from 83 countries make our place in Manila an incredible meeting place for world travelers who exchange travel stories and information. We understand both the joys and the hardships of living and traveling in the Philippines.

Experience
I arrived in the Philippines in January 1980 to travel for 2 months; I stayed 4 months before reluctantly leaving. I met my Filipina wife, Lorna. an incredible stellar, "one in a million" individual in 1983 in Seoul and we moved to the Philippines in 1986 and opened our 3BR house to world travelers on a budget. After welcoming thousands of guests from 83 nations our place has grown to 30 bedrooms but will never lose its "Home away from Home" atmosphere. Almost everyday at The Townhouse Hotel there's a party-like social scene with vibrant, almost magical energetic conversations between our guests who have the pleasure to meet each other and share their life's many experiences. Sometimes. three groups with conversations in different langauges are going on at the same time.
So we've been exposed to every kind of person from all over the world and shared their experiences.

Question
Hello Bill and Lorna
we are visiting Boracay in May and am having trouble booking flights from Hong Kong  with Cebu Pacific.
When trying to book on line we keep having our British  credit?debit cards rejected (WE have tried 4 different- allwell within credit limit0.We have tried to phone to booking office and after holding on for up to 30 minutes at a time have not managed to speak to anyone.
Any ideas (Cathay Pacific are way to expensive)
Roy Matthews

Answer
We have heard this complaint before but with perserverance and patience please keep trying or call or VIST IN PERSON the local Hong Kong Cebu Pacific Airline ticket office for details. I have Visa and Mastercard issued in the Philippines but also USA issued credit cards so just to test it I will try booking my next flight using my USA cards to see if they work. There's some great deals we have been booking on-line with CPA for the last 18 months. Good Luck, Bill

I can book your flights for you if you send me the amounts via http://www.paypal.com sent to my wife's email address at: lorna_ec@hotmail.com  but then it will cost you about 2% PayPal fees.
Should you want email us at: bill_lorna@yahoo.com with full names as on your IDs and the booking dates and discount preferred. Ciao for now, Bill
