Expert: Michael J. Motta - 4/20/2009

Question
When we try to avoid making choices or living up to the responsibility of making choices, according to the existentialists, we are living inauthentically. What does Sartre calls inauthenticity?

Answer
Hi Chris:

Thanks for the easy question, since it's Monday morning! Two words: "bad faith".

Please see one of my personal archives here: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Philosophy-1361/jean-paul-sarte-existenialist.htm

Good luck on finals!

Michael
