Question What does the this quote mean?
"Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
Answer Kennedy was trying to respond to right-wing critics who accused him of wanting to expand social services. His response was to ask citizens now what their government could do for them, but what they could do to make their country better.
This, of course, did not mean that he did NOT intend to expand social services.
