Question
My 10 yr old granddaughter was stung by bees when was 2 and 6 yrs old. She now refuses to be outside and this is becoming very limiting to her activities. What can we do to help her? Talking about it does not seem to help. She is adamant about going outside, esp if she sees a bee anywhere. What can I do to help her?

Answer
Hi Barbara

Thanks for sharing with me.

A competent hypnotherapist who works with children in your area will be able to help your granddaughter move on from the trauma associated with the bee stings.

Most phobias are the result of a specific trauma and its role is to protect the person from a similar occurrence - in reality, the trauma stops the person from enjoying life.

Let me know if you need more info.

I wish you well.

Pete
