Phobias - Androphobia

Question
Ever since I started middle school, I've been somewhat teased by the boys. The things they say offend me at times and I get all sad. So I've been trying to avoid them. I start getting all scared and nervous when I see some of them close by. And when there is no way to avoid them, I start panicing, start getting nervous, heart starts racing a bit, I try to avoid eye contanct, and I prepare for the worse. Do I have Androphobia?

Answer
Hi Veronica

Thanks for sharing with me.

It is possible that you have a form of Androphobia or an anxiety disorder.  Both are treatable without drugs.

The best thing you can do is make an appointment and talk with a therapist in your area that works with phobias.

Hypnosis in particular is very effective with phobia cure; and yes it is safe.

I wish you well

Pete
