Subject: how do i take film out of my camera?

Question
hi! i have pentax k1000 35mm camera, and i just finished a roll of film, and i dont know how to take the film out! thanks

Answer
Hi Nikki,
If you have finished all the shots on the Film, look at the bottom of the camera. You will see a small metal button there. Press the button until it sits level with the surrounding metal. Then you can rewind the film using the crank handle ( it folds out of the round knob on the top of the camera). Once you can feel the tension go off the handle, and hear the end of the film come off the spool, you can then remove the film. This is done by lifting the rewind
knob.If there is a little lever on the knob slide it along the top of the camera. The back of the camera will unlock and swing open. You can then retrieve the film.Rewind the film slowly to prevent static electricity charges on the film.
