Question Hello Barrie, i have been taking pictures for about 4 years already with my good Nikon N80 but I think it is time to go digital... I was thinking buying the Nikon D80 but my main issue is if the lenses i got will fit in this new camera, I got the AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8D IF-ED (2.5x) and also the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED (2.9x), what do you think ?
Answer I use Canon equipment but have a couple of friends who have D80 Nikons. The AF lenses you have will fit the DSLR with no problems. The only difference is that the sensor on the D80 is not full 35mm size so all your lens focal lengths will be multiplied by about 1.5. That is to say your 28-70 will become approx. 42 - 105 and the 70 - 200 becomes a 105 - 300
