Question
Hi there, I want to start my own photography website and I'd like to know what would make for a really good website, I've seen too many sites that are too similar and want to be in the more out of the sqaure eye catching range.

That's a tough one having no idea what you shot but in general. What makes for a really good website is great photos and no bull. Screw up your courage and hit viewers with a short intense package of images that cuts through the noise.
People don't hang around on websites. They hit the home page and are gone in seconds if you don't nail them.
Pull together a dozen or two of your best shots and load them up as a fast paced slide show that just starts pumping when anyone lands on the site. Don't bother with words ad music if can that pumps and make a strong visual statement that leaves them hanging there wanting more.
End with a "get in touch for more" aand be done.

I am a professional photographer and I've been shooting for newspapers, magazines, commercial clients and artists for over 30 years. My education includes studying with photographers like Cornell Capa, Duane Michels and Oliver Gagliani (from the Ansel Adams Center.)
