Photography - Digital cameras

Expert: Joe Appel - 3/22/2009

Question
Hi Joe Appel,

Which of the following digital cameras is best:
1. Canon PowerShot A 590 IS,
2. Canon PowerShot A1000 IS,
3. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 (used, same price range as Canon PowerShots mentioned above.

Sincerely,
Angenl

Answer
Of the three, I'd go with the A1000 IS.

It's the newest technology of the bunch.  It shares the same lens with the A 590 but apparently has a bigger sensor so it ought to perform a little bit better in low light situations.

You can compare the three on DPreview.com

Joe
