Expert: John and Chris - 9/25/2009
Question Hello John and/or Chris,
My name is Russ. I have a favorite professional photographer who sells prints of his work at galleries and auctions, however they are extremely expensive ($3000 and up range) He doesn't sell cheaper prints unfortunately. I have a few of his books which showcase his work and was wondering if there's any way to produce a high quality print from one of the pages. I'd appreciate any info

Answer Russ,
I'm sorry, what you ask is not legal. Even if it wasn't, you really can't get a high quality print by making a copy from a book. The off-set printing they use in books does not copy well. For the record, the fine for making a copy like that is $50,000 and falls under U.S. Code, Title 17 of US copyright law.
