Question HI JOHN & CHRIS...I HAVE AN SX70 POLAROID CAMERA FROM THE '70'S AND TWO OF MY PHOTOS WERE STORED IN MY GARAGE FOR MANY YEARS IN A PLASTIC BAG, AND PART OF THE IMAGE GOT STUCK ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE OTHER PHOTO. A BIT OF IT IS LOOSE SO I TRIED PUTTING A SEWING NEEDLE UNDER IT TO PRY IT UP, BUT IT'S NOT ALL EFFECTIVE, SO DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? I WOULD BE SO THANKFUL FOR ANY HELP YOU HAVE. THANKS SO MUCH.
RENEE
Answer Renee,
Well, I've been doing research on your problem and I've come to the conclusion that there is no proved way to get them apart. If they were regular pictures it would be easy. But nobody has done anything with polaroid integrated film. As a matter of fact, some old polaroid fact sheets I found say that they are not supposed to stick together at all. So I'm sorry, I think they are ruined. For the record, they way to do it with regular paper prints is to soak them in warm water. I think this would ruin polaroid, but if they are stuck anyway, you may have nothing to lose.
