About Martin Seymour
Expertise
I have worked in most aspects of still photography, using film and the wet process for 50 years. Employing all film formats 35mm to 8x10 sizes, I went over partly to digital cameras in 02, also PC editing of pictures. I still find film work more demanding , as you have to get it right at the start with no auto settings on the camera to cover my mistakes. Pictorial work is my personal interest. Its is not a good idea for me to suggest a particular make of equipment just a type, and its uses.

Question
Hi,
I have the Pentax Optio 30 digital camera.  I'm thinking about getting a (SD card).  What memory card would you recommend for a person who doesn't take a lot of photos?  I have gotten by on what the camera provides.  I'm planning a trip and would probably need storage for about 25 to 30 photos.
What would be the best way to research this?  I'm still looking for my manual.

HI ?
Suppose it’s down to how much you need to spend.
But cards are coming down in price all the time.
30 shots------------- too small.
Always get one larger than you think you will need.
I would suggest 256 at least or larger. You do not have to fill the card before down loading to PC or printer.
Good luck.
