Subject: Fine Art Prints - How to Sign

Question
Hi Bob,
What do you sign at the bottom of a fine art print that you have created - the title of the work in inverted commas, as well as your own signature?  And the series number of the print e.g. 1/350... I'm a beginner here, any information appreciated.  Thanks.
Regards,
Usuff

Answer
On the overmat I sign the print (bottom right hand corner of the cutout, beneath the print) and date.
On the left hand corner the number of prints if it is a limited edition (as per your example).
The print title (or simply 'untitled') is centrally placed.
As for the print itself, it is generally accepted it only be signed on the back, in the border area and in soft pencil only. Usually just name and date.
