Subject: Photographer business?

Question
I am a 19 year old Amateur photographer, just starting out on my own.I will be taking photography in college in a few weeks.I want to start my own small business and I have a few clients already intrested. How would I go about setting up prices etc.Would I need to print business cards?I have no studio.I thought perhaps at a park etc.Any ideas?

Answer
Prices...  see what your competition is charging and go from there.

Business cards are usually a good idea.  You don't want to scribble you number on the back of napkins.

If you have no studio, you're going to have to find good locations.  Can't give you any ideas really.  Don't even know where you live.

I'd suggest you take a business class or read some books on starting a small business.  And get a book of legal forms for photographers.
