Question
when we stand on the north pole we would be standing upright and the same for the south pole but if we stand at the core of the earth which is in the centre of the earth, will our head be facing the north or the south poles?

Answer
This question has two possible answers:

1) it is irrelevent because, contrary to what Jules Verne wrote, no human could survive even a hundred kilometers below the surface of the Earth, even if air were available. The temperature and pressure, even if it were air, would crush any human.

2) if you COULD survive at Earth's center, you could point in any direction you wanted. Towards the North Pole, the South Pole, the Equator, latitude 45d, latitude whatever.

Burger, over the last week you've asked several questions that are either non-sensical or have little relevence to real life. If you could explain WHY you are asking them, it would make me far less reluctant to answer them. I'm not certain I can expend the time necessary to answer the number of questions that you have asked, without knowing why you ask them. I'm willing to help you understand science, but not to waste our time.

Expertise

I can help with understanding physics that does not involve eggs. I will NOT help with academic or professional questions, which are NOT limited only to homework. Please do not waste your time by asking a question that comes out of ANY kind of academic, professional, or business matters.

Experience

Have been fascinated by physical laws ever since I learned, at age seven, that magnets work under water. My study continued through college and has not ceased even after I retired.
