Question
Hi, I just finished reading about Multiverse theory (altervative universes) and I don't understand if a theory cannot be proven or disproven, then of what value is it to us?  Is there any real proof of alternative universes?  Thanks for answering.

Answer
Many experimental physicists would agree with your analysis. There doesn't seem to be any way, at this time, to test such ideas. In the absence of evidence, such ideas, even it true, remain in the realm of fantasy. This is the primary reason why string theory has been put on the back burner until someone can come up with a way to test it.
What value does it have? It may be true! And perhaps someday we will have the understanding and technology to test it. We need these free thinking individuals to prepare us for the doors we have not yet opened!
