Given,

Relative density of solid = 1.25

Weight of solid in water = 0.012 x 10=0.12 N

Weight in air =  ?

Relative density= Weight in air /(weight in air-weight in water)



1.25 = weight in air / (weight in air-0.12)



let assume,

Weight in air =  a

1.25=a/(a-0.12)

1.25a - 0.15 = a //Cross Multiplication

1.25a - a = 0.15

a (1.25  - 1) = 0.15

0.25a =  0.15

a = 0.15 / 0.25

Weight in air=0.6 N
