As per  Hubble all galaxies are moving away from each other. That  being so,how  can Andromeda ever reach the Milky Way?

On a large scale, galaxies are moving apart at a speed proportional to their distance. However, there's some variation in this, and locally some galaxies are gravitationally bound. Andromeda is approaching the Milky Way, this is just one example of local variation. Some galaxies are "colliding," meaning that they're mostly passing through one another.

I moved on to a non-academic job with more research just recently.
