Question
What is the difference bewteen dew and frost?

Answer
Both are caused by the condensation of water vapor from the air. The difference is that frost forms when the temperature of the surface is below the freezing point while dew forms when the surface is below the "dew point" but above the freezing point. [The dew point is the temperature where the atmospheric humidity is exactly 100% and the air can no longer hold additional water.]
