Question I have my great aunts Elgin Cabinet Grand, New York piano serial #177274 and I'm trying to find out how old it is. Can you please give me some direction? I'm not good at research on the Internet and so far have not been able to locate anything.
Thank you
Shirley
Answer HI Shirley:
The Elgin pianos were made in Elgin, IL.
Unfortunately, Elgin kept no records and made too few pianos to track.
So...if you send me a picture, we can guestimate from the furniture, but that's as close as we get on this manufacturer.
Regards,
