Question My mother has a piano given to her by a relative. It is an upright made by Werner Piano Company Chicago and the serial # is 218324. What can you tell me about this?
Answer Hi Brenda:
This piano was made in 1926.
The upright pianos of that era were rather standard in size, value, and technology.
They were generally a veneer covering on core wood for the furniture, had spruce soundboards, in house actions...nothing really remarkable.
If the piano is serviceable at all, the worth is in the mid to low hundreds.
