Piano, Organ, and Keyboard/date of manufacture of Kimball Pump Organ

Question
We are trying to determine if a particular pump organ is the original organ used in a pioneer church near us. It would be very helpful if we knew the manufacture date. If it is the original we'll probably undertake a restoration. Otherwise it's probably not worth the effort. There is no manufacturers plate that is obvious but there is a large stenciled number on the back with the number 20 written above the number 39900. It is a pump organ with six stops with nominal dimensions of 4 ft x 5.5 ft x 2 ft. The board above the keys says W W Kimball on the left and Chicago Ill on the right. If a picture would be helpful I'd be glad to take a couple and send them. Any help you can provide would be appreciated very much. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Lee!  The best source for locating your answer would be to contact one of the Reed Organ Societies.  They have been amassing information on the hundreds of reed organ manufacturers for many years.  Hopefully they will be able to assist you:  http://eccs.onu.edu/~estell/organs/ros.html
