Piano, Organ, and Keyboard/Lowry organ, no sound

Question
I have a Lowry Carnival Organ which I purchased late 70's, wss rarely used. Several years ago I let some little kids play with it and of course they had all the stops and sounds going full blast, and suddenly all sound went dead.  The on light does light up but there is no sound. I might like to get it repaired if it is not too expensive.  I live in Cleveland, Oh. do you know of anyone in my area who might make a house call, do not think I want to go through the hassle of them taking it out for repairs.  Might it only need fuses?  It is the Carnival with Magic Genie and I think the serial noumer is 1105 100M8 42018.  Would really appreciate any advice you can give me.

Answer
Hello John!  Non use over long periods of time is likely the reason the organ has failed.  Even an occasional quick turn-on once a month is better than have an instrument sitting for sometimes years without use.

I suggest you contact http://mitatechs.org/public_splash2  This is the association of musical instrument technicians who should be able to help you.  Click on the box on the lower left of their website to find a tech in your area.  Make certain whoever you do contact that they are familiar with your instrument's technology when choosing a tech.
