Piano, Organ, and Keyboard/Modello Player Piano

I have a Modello Player Piano but the manual that came with is
The Manualo--are these one of the same? Modello is engraved
on the inside and marked on the outside.  Serial number :

Worth? assuming it is in good working condition.

Thank you,

Hi Ann:

This piano was manufactured by D. H. Baldwin in Cincinnati. It was discontinued in 1930.

The Modello factory was in Chicago Heights, IL.

Your piano was manufactured in 1923.

Manuelo is the same company.

If the piano is in original condition, it has issues. I'm not a player guy per se, but I've rebuilt the piano portions of player pianos for enough player guys to know that by now, everything is dry: bellows cloth, tubing, leather, etc.

To think of rebuilding these old players now is not cost effective. The market for them, especially if the are players and not reproduces does not support it.

The difference between players and reproducers: players do just that while reproducers have dynamic range as well.

You can go to the AMICA web site if you are looking to sell. That is the Automatic Musical Instrument Collectors Association to see if there is some interest.

If anyone tells you rebuilding these will net you a piano with great worth...kindly show them out the door.
