Question
Our Technics sx-PX224/M Digital Piano was sudden no sound today. The power light was on. Everything worked including demo music but it was only no sound on all the keys. Don't know why. Please help.

Answer
Hello Yolander,  Based on the information, I suggest you check the headphone jack.  Make certain nothing is plugged into the jack such as a headphone adaptor.  Also, make certain everything is firmly plugged into the unit such as the volume and/or sustain pedal.  The wires that connect these pedals are sometimes vulnerable to damage under certain conditions.  Check the wires carefully to make certain they are intact right up to the pedal potentiometers. Make certain the potentiometer leads are not touching each other.  And, if you have external amplifiers and speakers connected to the unit, make certain they are intact.  Lastly, try plugging headphones into the headphone jack and see if the unit will play through the headphones.  If they work, the problem could be an external mute or volume control. If you can't hear anything through the headphones, then the inside electronics will need to be assessed for a blown fuse and/or damaged components.

Hope this is helpful!
