Piano, Organ, and Keyboard/wurlitzer organ

Question
My parents have a Wurlitzer organ that they are in need of to donate. Is there any organization that will pick up and receive such an item.

Answer
Hello Lisa,  The easiest way to find a new home for the organ is to place it on an Internet site such as craigslist.com.  Click on "post to classifieds", then "for sale by owner", then click on "free stuff".  Make certain you include a picture of the instrument.  Include the model number and try to describe it as best as possible - e.g., nice finish, works/doesn't work/sort of works, 2 keyboards, 1 or 2 1/2 octave pedalboard, bench, music rack, external speaker, etc.

A lot of donation centers like Good Will, Boys & Girls Club, St Vincent de Paul and Salvation Army do mot take organs because the instruments rarely work which makes it difficult to move them in a timely manner.
